Lucienne
Doctor's Vineyard Pinot Noir
A tragedy of oak influence. The year+ in 50% new barrique covers up anything delicate or charming about Pinot Noir. Single vineyard. 14.5% alc. Seems a shame to not focus on what the fruit can say.
You get what you’re paying for, and you’re paying for new oak.
All that said, if you’re for an “in your face” style of Pinot you may love it. It’s no doubt well made. Savory, chocolate, red licorice. Lower acidity than you’d expect from Pinot. Just not my cup of tea.

Spicy red fruit nose of cherry, cinnamon, clove, and plum. More cherry and spice on the palate along with raspberry, cranberry, and cherry cola. A bit hot with high alcohol, high acid, and low tannins.
