Lucien Le Moine
Les Grands Épenots Pommard 1er Cru Pinot Noir
Much more body than a pommard more like a volnay. Lots of red fruit with great salinity, long burn and very smooth. Still typical Le Moine.

Apr 26th, 2021Quite a bit of weight but that is Le Moine. Close to a super Volnay but it is Pommard. Red currants, saline, high minerality and super long burn. Wow.

Oct 9th, 2020The wine is singing from the glass. Medium body, high minerality, probably the best grand epenots I ever came across. Only 3 bottles in my cellar, so time to forget about this but soooo good.

Aug 19th, 2018Excellent Pinot Noir, fantastic nose but palette is a little muted. Slightly stem-flavored, but very good overall.

Jul 20th, 2018Many of my 2009 pommards from Le moine have slight to heavy brettanomyces. This one is no exception, too bad with some imagination you can detect a very good wine behind it
