2014 Lucien Le Moine Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Champs-Gain

DAY 1
Served this with the Vinlog System
The 👃 & 👅 were initially restrained but over 3+ hours showed buttery lemon, black pepper and smoky minerality that was superb

Remaining wine was Slow Decanted in
my fridge

DAY 12
The wine was full on fantastic within 15 minutes this time
👅Intense & loaded:buttery fruit, herbs, stones, & nicely integrated oak notes. Packed midpalate, great acidity & energy. Long pleasant finish👍

Brilliant example of a Puligny-Montrachet. Slow Decanting helped this show well more quickly on DAY 12

Opened up from oysters and minerality on the nose to apricots and dried apricots. The palate was all rockmelons and peaches and long honey that went on for a minute

GL Burgundy tasting 3/7/17. $136. 2 meter to Mersault kingdoms of lime stone. Very acidic and fruity nose. Palate first touch is bitter and long finish of salty notes and oil. Says there's white wine tannin. Long finish.
