After having their 12 a couple of months ago, I thought I’d try the 13.

It’s was good but still 4-5 years from shinning. The 12 is drinking beautifully now.

Nice darker fruits than the 12. However, at an hour opening up in the decanter, the lighter red fruits really shinned with some floral blueberries painting the edge of the palate. Nice round bright a acidity and good long, well balanced finish that will improve with more bottle age.

Balanced and focused Pinot Noir from the boys at Pisoni. Slightly gamey on the nose coupled with wet earth. I've made several trips to SLH and this speaks of the visual terroir. Crushed roses, strawberry and allspice on the palate. Tannins and acidity are excellent with wet earth and smoke closing out for a complex long finish.

The new SLH era from the Pisoni boys? Tannic, acidic, not a huge fruit bomb.

2015 vintage. Dry, herbal, stemmy, cola finish and without the Santa Lucia fruit bomb syndrome.

Pleasing nose of fruit and muted earth. Red and dark fruit on a very clean palete.

Cherry cola, moderate acid, bit of blackberry, bit of oak taste, and a very faint fresh alcohol aroma similar to opening a paint bucket and sawdust

Stands all by itself as great wine. Doesn't need food.
