Pale green-tinged lemon with crisp, mineral-laced nose with loads of lemon curd and pastry on the palate. It's showing its coming maturity with a hint of almond extract on the finish and a bit of hazelnut, the quality of well-aged chardonnay. It really shows its no-dosage character - bone dry, it begs for food. Oysters, anyone?

Precise, slender, avant-garde. Balance is king! Freshly cut apple skin, bony pear and stone fruit kernels. Goes from woody to steely and back again. Then a deep vinosity kicks in and leaves a soily-spicey linger. Most refined Brut Nature! Masters at work! Paired w/beef gulash.

The best brut nature you can find in the market. The 2006 wine of Louis Roederer was big and the winemaking made an even bigger champagne...

Finally tasting this. The specter of fruit, the I-beams of structure. Further evidence that Roederer does not do things hastily.

Breadth and focus. Pink ladies, skin and all, with barely ripe pear dipped in the river flowing with chalk and limestone overlaid with white flowers. Looking forward to tasting again in a few years. Cool inaugural release.
