Roederer makes so many Champagnes that some of the wines can get lost in the shuffle. The Brut Premier is one of my go-to, widely available, affordable Champagnes. And then there are Cristal and Cristal Rosé, which are typically off the charts great. But for some reason I rarely drink the wines in the middle of the range.
The 2002 Vintage is fabulous. Time has softened some of the wine's youthful exuberance. The mousse alone has a regal beauty and finesse that is captivating. But what really strikes me is how fresh and nuanced the 2002 is. The 2002 Vintage will drink well for many more years, and, possibly decades. Today, it is ravishingly beautiful. Happy Holidays!

17/20 (92/100) Развитой аромат, выглядит куда старше 2000 (возможно, из-за разницы в дате дегоржажа): грибы, подвал, моченое яблоко, цедра лимона и бриошь. Аэрация необходима. Тельное с довольно высокой кислотностью. Хороший баланс. Очень достойно.
