Oxidized but still enjoyable - green almond nose , luscious pear, sherried elliptical, and fresh fruit forward. White florality and acidity life. Vintage 1985

Nice deep gold color, heavy in the glass like motor oil. Sweet nose. Notes of dried apricots, white clay, lemon, stones and a little vanilla. Needed a full 6 hours to break out of its shell and develop really nice, fine acidity that balanced against the fruit. Evolved in the glass, giving a kaleidescape of fruit notes over the afternoon. Really good showing. Should probably drink these up but give it its needed air to let it show you what its got.

Medium gold color. Heavy and viscous in the glass. Fruit forward nose. Notes of apricot, lemon, powdered stone and a little iodine. With air some burnt orange appears. Open for business right away but this needed 4-5 hours of air to power up. Refined acidity builds. Amazingly rich. Awesome bottle.

A recent auction acquisition. Good looking btl and fill. Amber gold, viscous and heavy in the glass. Nice nose. Notes of apricot, white spice, river stone, vanilla, a touch of iodine. Rich in the mouth. Acidity is soft at first but present, and grows substantially with a few hours of air. Long lasting finish, coats the mouth. Overall this is past its peak but certainly very enjoyable.
