Surprisingly for an appellation of this quality, no Grand Cru exists, however the high quality of this Premier Cru more then compensates, and more reasonably priced. Aged for 10 months on French oak (50% new). Pale yellow with a wonderful nose of fruits, spice and mineral notes. Stone fruit flavors, apple and pear, touch of citrus with vanilla spice. Lingering finish, great mouthfeel ending with nutty mineral characteristics.
