On the eve of Memorial Day I have opened the 2014 Louis Jadot Côte de Nuits Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir.

On the nose there is sour cherry, cranberry, red raspberry, strawberry, vanilla and minerality.

On the palate there are notes of sour cherry, cranberry, raspberry, light vanilla, a carmel component and dusty soil.

This wine is medium bodied with medium + acidity, medium grippy tannin that leads into an extended bright finish. Have an enjoyable and safe Memorial Day! Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷

Color on the lighter side of red. Sour cherry is obvious on the nose. In the mouth the sour red fruit is present again but with a hint of wet forest floor. Medium bodied, medium tannings. Medium everting I should say. Nothing too pronounced, everything seems to work together pleasantly; or is it missing something...

Let's see how the French do Pinot Noir...

Big difference.
Colorful yet translucent, medium purple with a ruby lean. Medium bodied. Blend of green herbs, mild licorice, meats, and spearmint on the nose. It's not as complex on the palate, medium acidity, medium tannins, sour cherry, mint tea. Finish is fairly short. So, not a home run, but a far better "Pinot" than earlier tonight.

16+/20 (88+/100) Слегка парфюмный аромат с нотами вишни, малины и цветов. Довольно тельное с высокой кислотностью и интенсивными танинами. Молодо, требует дальнейшей выдержки. #dfwe2018
