Corton Grèves Grand Cru Pinot Noir

Much better showing than last bottle, although that bottle endured air travel a couple days prior to opening. Another 5-10 of solid drinking to go, if cellared properly.

Rubis moyennement foncé. Nez typé et complexe à la fois sur des notes de petits fruits des bois, d'épices et de sous-bois. Bouche à la trame serrée, juteux et aux tanins jeunes. Très agréable 1996 et si jeune encore !

Corton-Greves 2002...needs 5+ more years.

Solid but a little wild. Fruit forward. Maybe lacking a little tension.

Needs to shed it's baby fat. Lots of oak and primary flavors.

Begins well with a nose of forest floor, mushrooms and cherry. It all falls apart on a disjointed, clunky and poorly delineated palate. Bypasses the mid-palate to a brief finish. This is in no way of Grand Cru quality. A major disappointment.

Quite disappointing. Quite flat.
