Nose has cherry & raspberry cordial notes (touch of alcohol), fresh violets, dried earth and mild oak toast.

Palate has lightly tannic cherry, blackberry, ripe black currant, medium barrel toast and fall leaves.

A solid weeknight bottle, decanted for about 90 minutes, but truth be told this wine could stand to wait another couple years in anticipation of concentration on the palate.

Slowly coming around to Pinots. Very smooth and drinkable. Needed time and would profit from a longer bottle time. In saying that there was already much to enjoy here.
