From local grocery wine department, chosen for a little advanced age! Wine selections here can be laughable and this wine is not great. It has very simple red fruit but seems to be opening with some time!
Honestly though I would rather have this than a comparably priced California PN that you have to wonder just what other grape is present besides Mega Purple!
For me to give an 86 rating a wine has to taste bad...not that it is just simple.

it felt pinot noir (my third ever but red fruit galore)
12.5% abv
cranberry and strawberry with some herbs 👃

basic but no flaws.
