Been a long time since I’ve had one of these. Nose starts off closed but then it stays to unfurl. Red berry, cranberry and cherry fruit. Licorice and even a hint of grapefruit. Palate is dazzlingly fresh and vibrant with gorgeous velvety tannins and terrific length. Still seems young at 15. What wines these were in their youth. Can’t believe how glacially they are aging. Fruit is there on the palate but not as much as I’d like there to be.
