Again answers the question of why age wine. Perfectly ripe black cherries, some fruit leather, black tea and other savory, umami flavors. Coming to its end but just brilliant right now and so much better than many wines above villages level. Reminds of 09

Nov 14th, 2017This is actually Jacques Carillon Chassagne-Montrachet 2015. The classic Carillon rich and supple nose is there along with the racy acidity and creamy lemon. There is a small cloying hint of honeysuckle, may be a reason this was downgraded from 1er Cru (or blended cross-vineyard). Still quite drinkable and a good price.
