Decanted for 2 hours. Yellow gold color. Great creamy fruity nose. Notes of ripe citrus fruit, vanilla, almond paste, river stones and tan spice. Great balance of fruit, acidity and structure in the mouth. Loved the smells of this wine, even the glass after this wine was long gone. Great stuff, has everything you want in a reasonably aged white burg. — 2 days ago
Nice elegant nose of dark fruit, some spices and some earthy tones. The palate has nice and pure slightly tangy fruit, medium bodied with tannins that have an elegant touch to make it a delicious balanced wine, enjoyable now but will get better with a few years in the cellar.
— a month ago
Had it slightly chilled (62F)...perfect for a summer night! Pale Ruby, medium viscosity, medium alcohol. Red cherry, cranberries, raspberries, acacia, wet herbs/spices and probably the most obvious wet stone expression I have come across in a Burgundy. Confirmed all on the palate. This was super well integrated and a serious wine. Nice long mineral and stony finish with good acidity all the way to the end. Enjoyed every sip with this bottle. Decanted for 3 hrs. This could easily be laying for another 5 yrs.and would taste even better with tannins getting silkier and round. I am told Louis-Boillot’s Chambolle-Musigny vineyard is small and this wine is an expression of how Burgundy’s used to be! Don’t really know what that means, but maybe the Stoney part is it! — 11 days ago
