Light to medium gold color. Nice weight. Fruit forward, impactful nose. Notes of meyer lemon, tan spice, honeydew melon, citrus, kiwi and apricot. Silky and smooth in the mouth. Awesome fruit and fine-grained acidity. Lemon creme notes come on throughout the evening. Great juice.

Jacques is the farmer of the two brothers and his wine shows restraint if such can be said of such rich layered and complex wine. At 12 years young this is showing it’s Grand Cru pedigree. Sublime in this case is hardly an exaggeration.

Dec 23rd, 2018Nice medium gold color; bright and heavy in the glass. Killer nose immediately. Bullseye. Only a bouquet that older white burg can give. Notes of sweetened lemon, gravel stone, dry earth, orange sauce and some apricot. Really big in the mouth with the first sip. Rich and expanding. Structure, acidity build over 6 hours with mouth coating fruit that is always present. Maybe the best white I’ve had this year, which is saying something.
