Sour cherry, steaminess, good acidity. Some spritz and VA. Not bad.

You want a fruit-forward red that has the bright acid and silky tannins to go with BBQ? I know a guy...

150 yr old mission vines, carbonic maceration (I believe), unfined and unfiltered (as far as I can tell), brimming with funk, character, and volatile acidity. This is an affordable (and masculine) answer to Jura red @Saman Hosseini

Antoine Luyt's delectable minimal intervention Chilean vin de soif, 150-200 year old native Pais grape. Plums & pepper, carbonic freshness.

Not a big fan of the style. Slightly fizzy, nothing much on the nose, light on the palate. Not faulty but I don't find it exciting either.

Ripe cherry, raspberry and roses galore. A hint of mint and green peppercorns too. Fruit condition is more tart on the palate, and a little black tea bitterness comes into play. Beaujolais/Loire/Chile thing happening here and it's totally working.
