Old Mencia vines, a perfect mix of silky fruit and fantastic typical Bierzo punch. No wonder Suckling rated it a 95. Sweet finish.

They make a fantastic wine with a lot of personality. This is an exemplar of what Bierzo can really be. Truffled, elegant, but not stuffy.

Maybe a bit less herbal than other Mencias I’ve enjoyed but delicious. Full nose of plum, chocolate, candied cherry. Tastes like Black Forest cake to me. Smooth.
