2011 was such a tricky year, but this didn't stop Longshadows from making a kick ass blend of Sangio, Cab, and Syrah. The earthy fist of the Sangio grabs hold first and doesn't let go, period. It dominates the Cab and Syrah for the most part, though you can definitely taste their cocoa and ripe red fruit notes around the edges. I have another bottle and I am going to sit on it another few years at least... This is a tannic monster!
