Impressive balance and flavors in year 16. Remains clean and retains elegance showing sappy bing cherry, earthy components of tree bark, light sand and dark soil (almost volcanic). Has some light sandalwood and a touch of weight and warmth on the finish. Well done

A few fun 4th Friday wines from tonight.

A Cali spin on burgundy. I’m assuming some whole cluster usage here as it’s a bit green/stemmy on the nose. Spicy in the sense of rhubarb and cracked peppercorn. Some smoked meats as well. On the palate, it’s very light...green pepper, underripe black-cherries, herbal, and dirt covered mulch. I’d consider popping these soon.

Needed some air to open up, still more of a dark, minerally profile. I wouldn’t hold this one much longer.

From a restaurant list. Dark reddish ruby. High pitched nose with notes of black fruit, rhubarb, some steminess. Nice in the mouth. Young and vibrant. Needed air, needs time.

One hour decant blew off some funk to expose gorgeous nose of rose petals, strawberries, baking spice, and love. Liquid love in the mouth too. Gorgeous.

Bright purple, vivid in color. Perfumed nose of candied berry fruit, Asian spice, rhubarb and plums. Great structure to match the fruit in the mouth. The guests loved this. Drink or hold.

Acid & sharp tannins on the front. Maybe a couple more years to calm down?

Serious CA Pinot for sure. Sneaks up. Subtle.
