Extraordinary bottle. Grateful to the incredibly generous Birmingham community for sharing so many great wines and raising so much money for the kids last night! #tumtumtreefoundation

Littorai Hirsch, from the 1998 vintage. We received 150 inches of rain in the winter of 97-98, the last big El Niño year. The clarity and deliciousness of this wine represents a triumph in winemaking over very challenging conditions.

This wine is fucking amazing. It's 13.2% alcohol. Anyone who says that '11 wasn't a great is out of their mind. Hard, yes, but bad, absolutely not. This crushes almost anything in Burgundy at $175. Bravo, Hirschs and Lemons.

Still a baby but oh what a beautiful wine. Wonderful aromas of cherries and spices. Have to revisit this in 5-6 yrs, another stellar Hirsch bottling by Ted Lemon.
