2016 vintage, and it's tasting much clunkier than the 2015s. Young and hot. Still aged in SS, no oak on this wine. Lemon creme, golden apples, and chalkiness dominate. Lacks direction and unbalanced. Might give this one 6-12 months to bloom a bit.

Inte en klassisk (fatad) Sonoma/Cali-chardonnay. Men inte så mycket annat heller. Den har mest en habil och generisk smakprofil av citrus, krusbär och stenighet. Upplever nästan att den vissnar en aning på slutet. Testar hellre Liocos chardonnayer ett steg upp.

We are really enjoying this wine! Very Chablis like..minerals..lemon..kiwi..Medium bodied...good long finish!...a bit closed at this point...yet really good! Price is great on this..$20 range..going to grab a few and let it age!!

Immediately I get lemon and white pepper and it reminds me of some of my favorite Austrian gruners (see Nikolaihoff) or maybe a high quality muscadet (see domaine de L’ecu). It has a richness from extended lees contact that provides a depth and layer of complexity. Lioco sharply departs there once you taste the explosive acidity. This is a rare Chardonnay in that it is 1. cheap (I paid less than $20) and 2. multidimensional. Lioco should have a permanent spot in the queue.

Mar 5th, 2018Pear and apple, lemon curd and crushed chalk (thank you label, I wouldn't have come up with those on my own!) nose. Lightly buttery but a nice acid, lemon comes through at the end; label says "yuzu, fennel flower, wheat berry"... umm sure? Loving this wine!! Thank you Andy @Table Wine!!!

2016. Nice acid. Lemon. Chalk. Steely Chardonnay. Will definitely seek out again.
