Always a special treat to attend the Wednesday Wine Committee. The hosts always bring out excellent wines!
Thought possibly Malbec based on the inky color and rush of blackberries. Haven't had many Paso Robles wines and this one was super unique. Robert Parker called this "liquid viagra." 😂

As we continue our Rhone styled themed evening this is next. Cassis aroma that soars from the glass with dark cherry. Plum paste , hoisin sauce with roasted apple. Suave finish with tannins and acidity that are still strong.

Wonderful GSM blend that speaks of the land of which it came from. Maybe one of the darkest wines I have seen in the glass. Perfume of a nose, violets, lavender and sandalwood. Soft mouthfeel despite the eclipse in the glass. Lush black fruits, hint of licorice and black cherry. Balanced tannins and acidity. Finish shows the finesse and balance of bottle aging.
