The most dense and big of all the Linden wines I tasted, however it was varietally correct. Juicy, loaded with flavor and tannin, good acidity too. Petite Verdot tends to ripen well in more years than not in VA. I have had impressive PV from NJ as well.

Great flavor profile, but showing a lot of heat, in additions to its gripping tannins. Black fruit tar mocha menthol. The proverbial cigar wine.

Blackberry and black raspberry predominate with interesting spices. Still disjointed. Wants time in bottle. Acidity is fairly high.

Solid but prefer the 08 by a wide margin. Soft and American oak-y. Used to a bit more elegance and restraint from Linden. #vawine #wine

Nose of dark plums with hints of cassis, opaque and dark with thinning meniscus, ripe plum and blackberry with hint of raspberry leaf tea. Tastes hotter than 13.5%. Acid is good, tannins are medium. Finish is medium long.

Really delicious with an earthy dried blackberry leaf thing going on. Will be sad to see the last bottles go, but their time is coming. Drink up.

Happy VA Wine Month! This is a big PV - I love this as a single varietal. Great expression of terroir.

2016 on July 28, 2020. High structure- acid and Tannin. Aerated and softened on the palate. Dark red fruit- very good- interested your see what more years do!
