Concentration!! The maturity and depth of fruit is sooo beautiful!! Hugely rich and refined..:a little short on integrated tannins (aging), but unmistakablely special:) — 2 days ago

Monticello Petit Verdot 2010

This will always be one of my favorite petite Verdot and one of my favorite years for it. It has aged incredibly well and is good on its own without food but can compliment a good steak easily. — a day ago

Fabbioli Cellars

Tannat 2012

Red berry, humid summer forest, hints of old leather jacket and hard candies on the nose. Plum, raspberry, tart cherry, notes of vanilla, soft puckering tannins lingering with juicy cranberry on the finish. Nice red for Virginia. Went well with pizza. — a month ago

Yash-Vir Red Blend 2010

Perhaps a touch on the down swing, this luxurious and sophisticated build still provided plenty of pleasure for a holiday special meal. Complex from quality fruit… The special 2010 vintage provided ripeness for the CabSauvignon and merlot components. Thoughtful oak exposure provided just enough framework and the inherent herb inlay... particularly from the PV. Former Governors cup case gold — 16 days ago

Estate Reserve Block 7 Monticello Cabernet Franc 2019

This is the 2019 Estate Reserve Cab Franc Block 7 - 100% Cabernet Franc. Opened this up way too young but have some more coming. Notes of graphite and minerals with dark fruits. Needs 3-4 years and will be beautiful! — a month ago

Block 2 Monticello Cabernet Franc 2019

This is the Estate Reserve Block 2 Cabernet Franc. Very young and needs a couple years in the bottle. That being said, this has such a unique graphite and slate flavor and I look forward to seeing it mature. — 18 days ago

Meritage Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

Stunning maturity in the cellar - concentration of brambled fruit - reds/blacks. A touch of spice from the oak. No substitute for complex hot summer fruit. Holding out much better than the 2007 hot vintage. This is consistent with the stunning 2010 Merlot that M. Finot made. — 16 days ago

Heritage Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2017

2017 Keswick vineyards “Heritage” Estate Reserve

85% Cabernet Sauvignon
7.5% Merlot
7.5% Cabernet Franc

A gorgeous, true-to-place blend from the Monticello AVA. The nose is loaded with notes of clove, all-spice, raspberries, and as it breathes those flavors melt together. The attack on the palate is perhaps the Heritage’s strongest point- beautifully balanced and an integrated richness of fine tannins, expressive and powerful yet somehow delicate. Once again, as the best wines out of Monticello (or anywhere for the matter) the Heritage has something genuine to say. Just so happens it is also very well-spoken. The finish is lengthy and reflects the flavors that took to build up the structure. This is more than a delight- it’s a discovery.
