A hot vintage in the Virginia Piedmont. Warm and plummy fruit, with pronounced coffee/torrefaction notes, and ripe tannins. Much more new oak (and toast?) and higher alcohol than the current release.

Smoky red fruit and dried herbs and a mineral edge. Lots of lift and the strident tannins of a mountain grown wine.

An influence in style to old school Bordeaux for sure, elegance and power in a very persistent medium+ body. The nose is very true to the Cabernet varietals, cassis, cherry, currants with a tweak of pepper and spice. Long and pure.on the finish, very well made. Tasted side by side with the 2006 and on two other occasions.

A tremendous example of a maturing Cabernet based wine from VA, this has plenty in reserve to go another 5 or more years. Plenty of fruit allied with mature tertiary notes wrapped around a fine tannic and vibrant core.

Dark black fruit on the nose and palate, very ripe but not jammy, lots of red and black fruit on the palate nicely framed by medium tannins. Pretty Cab blend.

Black fruit, bramble, barnyard, cola and sage. Rustic, with plenty of tannin left for another decade plus.

Solid cab. Earthy dirt with a hint of smokiness. A little thin on the fruit with a follow through of too much tannin and not enough fruit. But, an enjoyable bottle.

Another Linden gem. Deep purple, some underripe cherry, apple peel - a touch of something savory. There are some floral notes and granny smith on the nose - excited to taste how it opens up!

Dropped by the vineyard to pick up this bottle after a day of kayaking. This is our first time trying it. We are not disappointed. Went very well with duck.
