Dark fruit on the nose to match he rich colour - even a hint of flint or pencil lead on the nose. A bit dry - and some healthy tannins. Drinking nicely now but will lay down for at least ten years. Nice fruit giving way to a long finish. L'chaim.

Mostly Petite Sirah and Carignan. Dark, profound, a touch sweet but not overripe or hot. Tannins still a bit chewy in a savoury way. A real garagiste wine, though very well crafted by the father and son team of Amnon and Ido Lewinsohn. Perhaps even too well made, missing just a slight hint of funk.

Dark inky in color with a deep Purple rim.

Numb on the nose with blackberries, cherries, green peppers, cloves, oak, chocolate, black pepper and cola.

Full bodied and smooth, with medium plus acidity and nice legs.

Bone dry on the palate with cherries, blackberries, cloves, green vegetables, currants, sour strawberries, flat cola, and black pepper.

Sour finish with soft tannins and bitter almonds.

Still young and unbalanced, would need three years to balance itself out.

Nice and smooth, but tart and bitter for my taste. Good quality, though.

14% alcohol by volume.

This is third or fourth vintage or this wine that I’ve tried and it keeps getting better. The passion project or top-Israeli winemaker Ido Lewinsohn, this is a blend of 90% Syrah and 0% Petite Syrah. I would like to say Northern Rhône (maybe St Joseph! In style, but actually this is as close as it gets to giving a sense of place for an Israeli wine. Plum, garrigue and some baking spice, maybe cardamom. Vibrant acidity. This will get better with age. Really excellent stuff.

Almost too refined for a garagiste wine. This is drinking so beautifully.

Nice blend of Syrah and petite sirah. First Israeli wine... not bad at all.

Medium body. Dry and smooth, still young but shows good tanins. A Syrah 70% and Petit Syrah 30% blend.

Excellent! Dark, dense wine with lively acidity, some fruit and savory notes.

Lovely dark color. Blast of fruit. A bit rough needs time to round out the edges. But a nice hearty red.
