Tis the season for sparkling wine! This New Zealand Sparkling from Leveret is made in the traditional method (the same way as French Champagne) and it spends 3 years on lees (aka on the dead yeast cells to help impart flavour and texture). The ‘IQ’ means ‘Improving Quietly’.
IQ 3 is a pale golden yellow colour in the glass. I love the nose on this bubbly! It’s full of golden syrup on crumpets, tropical fruits and refreshing citrus. The palate is super smooth in texture with hints of cream brûlée and stonefruit (peach and nectarine) coming through. Nice!
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine #tctastingnotes
