Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend

I don't know why every time I drink Medoc I think of Edgar Allen Poe's The Cask Of Amantillado but there it is..not a bad way to go; drunk and get walled up. Well in this case it would not be a bad bottle to be walled up with. Good notes of leather and blackberry with a long finish that doesn't disappear after 5 seconds on the palate (an unfortunate tendency of some other '10 Bordeaux that get hyped by the pros. Had this with a butterfly'd leg of lamb and rosemary potatoes and it was killer.

Fruity, jammy, a bit funky, slightly earthy. Woody too.
Pairing well with ragu and chocolate for dessert

Really like this wine. Nice balance, not much acidity...a favorite of ours.

60% Cab, 40% Merlot. $15. 13.5% Alc.

Perfect bistro wine, piquant, balanced, good acid, and delicious with roast chicken. 👌🏼🍷🐓🍗

$15, cab 60%, Merlot 40%, smooth soft tannins, good with italian, roasts, chicken. Not remarkable to me, but well rated. I think most would find it good.

Good value, but a little fruity.

chocolate and vanilla. dark fruit. berries. oak.

Dry. Oak. Annapolis.
