Les Halos de Jupiter
Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend
Medium ruby, red cherry, raspberry, baking spices, hint of orange peel. Vibrant acidity with a tight tannic backbone, medium + finish. Nice wine.

Feb 2nd, 2020Wow. Incredibly rich, full and lush cote de Rhône. Stood up well to middle Eastern food. Complex mix of dried berries and other dried fruit.

Feb 18th, 2018Drank 2/14/18.
Burger night so I grabbed this CDR as the price was right. The 2015 Rhone Vintage is supposed to be excellent. An 80/20 Grenache /Syrah blend
Classic, but light CDR nose of red fruit intermingling with underbrush. On the palate, flavors of red cherry, raspberry, tar, and herbs combine with medium to firm tannins. Herbaceousness dominates a relatively long, drying finish.
With some time in the decanter tannins do lighten and the wine picks up more cherry liquer flavors.
2/21/7/3/4 + 50 = 88 pts.
