Les Halos de Jupiter began with the 2007 vintage. Les Halos de Jupiter takes its name as you should expect from Jupiter and its halos. Made from 100% old vine Grenache, vines are over 100 years old and planted in the famous La Crau lieu-dit, and aged in year old French oak for 12 months. Deep red with dark fruit aromas with complex spices. Blackberry and cherry, rich full-body with soft tannins, gentle sweetness with some earthy spice ending with mineral notes. Only 125 cases. Hazy, medium intensity, garnet appearance. Clean, pronounced intensity, raisins, plums, strawberry jam, strawberry, earth, prune, liquorice, stone, mushroom to the nose. Dry, low to medium acidity, full body, high alcohol, low to medium tannins.
