L'Enclos des Braves
Gaillac Duras Blend

Dark, saturated color. Nose has a lot of black pepper and graphite. Not much fruit. In the mouth it’s clingy and savory. Very pure tasting. Good acids, tannins in check. Not complex or deep, but a good whack of flavor. Gutsy weeknight dinner wine.

Has the intense granite minerality of a great St. Joseph Syrah, but harder fruit character. Wafts of smoky minerality overlay tight cassis and boysenberry. Tight, linear, and concentrated in the mouth. Nice acidity, and the tannins are so fine the texture is soft. Great value wine.

Medium- bodied, dark purple. Nose is somewhat funky, not really corresponding with the flavor. Has that gamay profile, but has great depth of flavor, some good tannins, juicyness and and a long finish. Very delicious. Thanks brother!

I wrote this up a few days ago. Why it didn't save is beyond me. Loved it. Don't remember the specifics now. By the way, this is red, NOT Savignon
