Tikka's Run Pinot Gris

Bought at winery. Pale white, excellent clarity. Floral and lychee notes in nose. Lemon and lactic flavors, good acidity, grapefruit and lemon peel finish. Can work as aperitif or a food wine. Well made.

Rich round finish on this one.

Cat pee and lemon curd. A bit too rich and high alcohol for the acidity. Nice citrus finish.

Nice with pork shoulder ravioli and pickled cabbage.

Great as aperitif - very light in color even w/some age: fairly austere aromatics, bit of lemon & white flowers along w/stoniness… smooth & suave on palate but a bit more Friuli Pinot Grigio than Alsatian Pinot Gris. Nervy acidity, lighter weight, faint orchard fruit flavors, but not showing all the much personality. Clean bracing dry finish

Fairly local. I'm in Idaho, and this is from Oregon. Close enough?
