Pale lemon gold. Noticeable oak but not overly so. Chardonnay needs oak - not a fan of unoaked Chardonnays. 2006 was cool with rain at the wrong times in Marg River. Not good for Cabernet but produced delicate whites where quality French Oak is more noticeable. Nutty and fig notes. Enough acid to go on for a little while but very good now. Experts and punters alike agree this is Australia's premium Chardonnay.
