Dec 25th, 2015Light salmon in the glass with plenty of active tiny bubbles. Very open, very inviting immediately. You can tell this is a wine made for enjoyment and groups. Lively red berries absolutely explode on the nose with cream and mild spice. Passionfruit with pears and apricots go on and on. Really nice.
Definitely on the lighter side of rosé champagnes, this is 93/7 Chardonnay/Pinot Noir and is brisk and so very fresh. The fruit from Epernay is pure and the wine crystalline. This is just so well done. A delicate mouthfeel with high acidity. The attack has tension and is electric throughout. Crowd pleasing for sure but still thoughtful and precise. One of my favorite rosés.
