May 25th, 2016This 2012 Syrah Cuvée Classique might just be a classic in the making. It's still a brute with grippy tannins and reckless oomph, but will mellow in 3 to 5 years. There's oomph here for the patient palate.

Many forest fires and ‘Heat Dome’ where temperatures reached 49 degrees Centigrade in the Okanagan Valley.
This wine is the first vintage of 100 % Syrah with no co-ferments.
Viognier and Roussane were harvested earlier.
Crunchy red fruits, pepper and spice. Perfumed and floral with lavender and earthiness.
Workers in the cellar at the winery joked that this is a Syrah for Pinot Noir lovers.
