Still has a lot of structure. Lots of leather notes. The palate has interesting green pepper notes. Only 30% Carb Franc, but reminding me a lot of Loire reds. Definitely an interesting wine but overpriced.

Getting more balanced after a while in decanter. Bump up the score. Still not worth the $70 price though.

Yummy stuff! Slightly more juicy and more lush than the bottle I had two years ago. Drink now.

Signs of seepage on the top of the cork but it's still pretty decent. Cigar ash, beef stock plums and a bit of olives on the nose. The Cab Franc element comes through on the palate with some green notes and acidity on top of the red fruits, it's really lovely and vibrant. Maybe a little short on the finish but very fun to drink. The 2000, the last year of this with CS in the blend before they went 100% Cab Franc.

Lovely wine, still bright, young and energetic. Nose is dominated by Cab Franc notes, grilled bellpepper, grilled herbs, plums and blueberries. On the palate surprisingly fresh, wonderful acidic backbone, juicy forestfruit. Perfect use of oak, very supportive. Chalky tannines, medium to full bodied. Very very good!
In 2000 this was 70% CS and 30% CF.

I just LOVE Paleo!! I am sorry I am biased guys. If I have to find to find a weak spot, you can taste chew the oak, the fruit is there but the wood runs the dhow here
