Haut-Médoc Red Bordeaux Blend

My fave budget Bordeaux $23. Goes so well with food & just drink on it's own. #cabernetsaugvinon #merlot

Red fruit hint of spice, pleasant. Little light in the tannin department leaves it underwhelming.

Unique and expressive wine- sound all the way around.

Black berries, licorice and floral notes. Soft texture makes room for medium tannins and a good finish.

Nice wine for this price. Enjoyed with some mixed dishes.

Very good price to quality ratio for a Bordeaux. Reserved fruit, some earth, opened up nicely.

I was studying differences between new world and old worlds wine and tasting this wine made everything easier. Its color was a lot lighter than most new world wines. Very nice ruby red color. On the nose it had a lot of fresh strawberry and licorice but not a lot of oak, yet it had some lactic notes. On the palate you can feel quite some astringency from cabernet sauvignon, yet it is light and satisfying. Definitely worth a glass.

Spice Christmas yeast vide. Light to medium body.

Sight: deep concentration, ruby red moving to a garnet rim, mod staining,  mod+ tearing,

Ripe Blackberry, rich raspberry, cassis, mulberry, leather, potting soil, touches of vanilla and allspice.

Mod acidity,  mod tannins,  med+ alcohol, round, med+ finish. 90

Wine opened up well after a few hours.
Went well with a slow cooked beef pot roast.

Wonderful Bordeaux. Earthy, big nose and great finish. 60% cab saug 40% merlot. #pinocchiowine
