Medium plus aromas and flavors of tart citrus fruit (Mayer lemons, orange) and popcorn and vainilla. It seems overtly ripe on the nose, but the acidity balances the ripe fruit on the palate. #chardonnay #newzealand #marlborough

Mar 6th, 2021There's a lot of citrusy notes on the nose, from lemon, lemon zest, some yuzu, some marzipan, some butter, some vanilla too and almost a yeasty thing.. The palate is quite interesting with a good acid drive, some buttery and citrusy notes, a good width, some grip and a good fresh finish with marzipan, lemon and a tiny vanilla note that goes on for a very long while. It's a different take on chardonnay than the expressions I'm used to but it's quite interesting! I like that. I wanted to taste a kiwi chardonnay for a while, so here we are.
