Ripe crushed cherries, blueberry skins, savory herbs, earthy minerals and a hint of animal musk, come together to form an alluring bouquet on the 2015 Lavinea Elton.  On the palate, soft, fleshy textures usher in an array or ripe dark fruits, yet perfectly balanced by juicy acids and lifting minerals which saturate the senses, making for a pliant but also zesty expression of Oregon Pinot.  The finish is long and spicy, with a tactile hint of youthful tannins.  What a pleasurable glass of Pinot.

Red fruit - cherry, strawberry and raspberry. Rose petals, and allspice. More fruit forward though. M+ acid. M body and gripping tannin. M+ finish. Definitely a new world Pinot.

We let it sit open for a few hours to help it open up. It’s pretty lite for a ‘14. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate is very thin and not much there.
