NYE 2023 wine alongside beef bourguignon. Wine did not shine as much as I’d hoped. Even after 3 hr decant, not much of a nose. That said, some beautiful fruit and smooth integrated tannins. Would be curious to check in on this in 10 yrs

Not much happening on the nose — and after this wine had had a chance to breathe. Sage and mint on the front. Medium tannic structure with lots of calcaire at the end. If you like the lighter French styles of wines, maybe you should add three points to my rating. No doubt this will develop well over the years, but it has too light a structure for my Californian tastes.
