Red to dark red fruits, cherry, raspberry and pomegranate, garrigue, and singed black schiste stone/mineral notes, lavender florals too. The palate is medium bodied, with intense flavors that are lightning it's feet. I am a fan of Faugeres wines and it's rare for me to try a new one like this one.

This is a steal at $20. Intense, ripe nose with notes of Concord grape, damp earth, hint of mushroom and lemon. Palate not quite up to the nose; full but a bit simple. Needed some breathing time. If it was a Rhone it'd be $40. Love the Languedoc. Points for cost/benefit ratio.

Pleasant red. Full bodied, blackberries, herbaceous (on the edge of absinthe). Opens up wonderfully.
