Chilean Petit Verdot Cabernet Franc blend. One of the noticeable aspects is the smell of dark stewed plums and campfire smokiness. The other is the dark burgundy colour that is almost black. The wine has an amalgamation of flavours that hits you right off the first sip. Plums, black cherry, dark chocolate, espresso that are very well balanced together. This is followed by a very mild peppery spice, velvet and chewy leathery tannins that linger long after. Excellently structured. If you find it, buy it.

Mar 10th, 2019Nice little find at a local wine festival in Chile for 15 dollars. One if my favorite regions. Velty, Medium finish with good dark fruit and structure.
