Nice soft mousse body, yellow peach, tropical melons, pineapple, some lemon meringue, lime zest, slightly bitter apple cider, whipped cream, hard chalkiness, alluvial limestone, saline, sea fossils, bread crust, yeastiness, yellow florals, racey acidity, nicely balanced & structured with a finish that lasts 90 seconds.
Needs a few more years in bottle.

Nice depth, lots autolytic notes and that perfect combo of breadth across the palate and chalky crush to bring it back. Enjoyed the extra dimension this had compared to a ‘10 previously tasted, just a more complete wine throughout. Punches above price point

Racy, chalky, and focused up front, melts into ripe golden pommaceous fruit, lemon, and lees. Love the clarity this has, no extra fluff about it, straight and to the point.

From two old vine sites in Vertus, this has been one of my favorites for more than a decade. The vintage, 2009 is on the back label. It is fermented in large, old wood. While this wine has no dosage it has the ripeness to achieve balance. A big Chassagne mouthfeel and a long chalky finish!
