Like most Rosso I've experienced, this shows the immediate splash of fruit. After an hour in the decanter this screams of earth and leather. Black cherry, oak, barrel tannin, and solid acidity guide it to a lengthy finish.

A good earthy Sangiovese. Not the most amazing I've had but it's decent. It improved after letting it breathe for a while. Went well with roasted pork chops.

Nice $62 bottle (restaurant pricing) of Sangiovese. As expected, more "Old World" style than "New World," some delicious earthiness, but enough fruit to satisfy New World tastes. Not austere but good acid balance. Medium-full body. Nice.
