Amazing deep crimson for its age. Bordeaux blend (with 8% Shiraz!). Lovely mature Cabernet derived nose with some Hunter earthiness. Medium bodied palate fading somewhat - berry fruits. Probably more impressive a year or 2 ago.

Not the best 2000 I have had. Some harsh characters but still with nice fruit, eucalyptus and saddle leather.

17/20 (92/100) Зрелый аромат с нотами ягод чёрной смородины, черники, кедра, шоколада и мебельного лака. Довольно плотное с высокой кислотностью и интенсивными, но весьма деликатными по текстуре танинами. Ягоды, кедр и специи во вкусе. Отличная зрелая Австралия.

I am not normally a fan of reds from the Hunter Valley but this is an exception. Aged perfectly. The blend brings out so many fruits up front which mellow on the back. Couldn’t wait for the next sip.
