First night it was open, muted fruit and crazy pepper spice. Really brought out the sweetness in a grilled steak though. On successive days, fruit came forward and by day 6, it's nicely balanced. Lots of ripe red fruit with a much softer black pepper spice underneath. Nice wine; give it a week.

So visiting Montréal for the weekend means a stop in at Maison Publique and some VQA wine! This is likely some of the last Lailey Syrah ever, so j had to order the bottle.
