Pale lemon with stone and citrus fruit aromas and herb notes. On the palate dry, with underripe fruit flavors of gooseberry, lime and melon with subtle grassy tones, crisp with vivid acidity. Medium finish ending with tart fruit character. Could be better.

This was a bargain wine purchased, frankly, because I assumed it to be an NZ Sauv blanc- but it’s from France, more specifically Corsica. I found it pretty good with quiche, which matched distinct acidity. This wine tastes much like a New Zealand but lacked any of the passionfruit or gooseberry aromas I enjoy in my favorites. My main recommendation would be to pay a few extra bucks and buy a real New Zealand Sauv blanc - there are so many better than this French poser.
