La Spinetta
Il Nero di Casanova Terre di Pisa Sangiovese
A fine Sangiovese. La Spinetta does it again. Very approachable. Mild tannins. Nice fruit and not too earthy. Had with pasta and was very good.

May 27th, 2022La Spinetta! Weβve had and enjoyed wines from this producer in the past and this wine is no exception. πππ
Itβs a medium ruby wine with garnet influences. ππ·
πIt offers developing aromas; aromas include primary notes of red cherry π , cranberry, black currant, plum skin, tomato leaf π , pine, juniper, dried mint, dill, coriander; also secondary notes of cardamom, nutmeg πͺ΅ ; and tertiary notes of forest floor, leather, and tobacco. The flavors coincide with these aromas but with added textural dimension. ππ
Itβs impressively fresh even with some bottle age. The green and herbal notes add extra lift. π±π±π±
It has a solid structure with high alcohol (14%), firm tannins, medium(+) acidity, medium(+) body. πͺ Excellent value at $23 / bottle.
La Spinetta, Il Nero di Casanova, Terre di Pisa, Toscana Sangiovese IGT. Vintage 2015. ABV 14%.
