My rating is the same as Mark’s but for a different reason. I love funky/savory style Syrahs (Cayuse especially), but this had zero of those notes on the nose...out of whack baked fig and liqueur like black cherries. However, the finish here reminded me of beef stew broth. Not iron/bloody, but definitely savory at the finish with added peppercorn. Seemed disjointed.

What a refined well structured wine. Balanced with a wicked long lasting flavor on mid pallet.

May 8th, 2021Biggest wine I’ve had in awhile. Had to decant and sit awhile before I could drink. Won’t try again for a few years. Huge and hard. Definitely a steak wine. I’m struggling to describe this unique masterpiece. Heidi Barrett may be the best Winemaker in Napa Valley 🍷
